Mellow Yellow

I'm slowly catching up with March's 365 Quilt blocks.

The colour that came out of the hat for this month is yellow. As I don't have as much variation in my scraps as I hoped I'll be using a bit of orange  here and there.

Anyway in no particular order are some of March

I'm about 10 days behind now but by the time I get around to doing some more I'll be a bit further behind. For 3" blocks they do take longer than you think you'd think to make up.

A gorgeous morning here in South Wales so I'm spending today working in the garden. I have a border that I need to rearrange and some new plants to find homes for,

  1. They look gorgeous! I agree about small blocks taking lots of time to sew together - I think they tend to take about the same time as a large block would because they still have the same number of seams. Have a lovely time in the garden, I'll be watching out for photos!

  2. We've been having lovely weather here in Ontario as well although we have some snow back today. I'm taking full responsibility for this as I said yesterday I didn't think we would get any more snow this year. I love all the yellows I am getting to see in your post today. I also agree that small blocks take a lot of time to sew.

  3. I'm more than 10 days behind on my 365 challenge....hoping to catch up this weekend! We've had a week of temps in the 70's and then snow day before yesterday...that's March in West Virginia.

  4. I would never be able to stay caught up on this challenge - I admire that you have so much finished! Working in the garden sounds heavenly...good weather is just around the corner for us so soon I'll get to work outside too. Good luck, and have fun! Thanks too for linking to MCM!

  5. What a great idea for deciding on colors. You're going to have a rainbow scrap quilt!

  7. Hi Gina - lovely collection of blocks. We too are having some good weather so am busy in the garden. I see the weather is going to change though this weekend - just in time for our arrival in UK next week!! xx

  8. They're small AND complicated and that does take longer. I don't think I'd be able to keep up with that challenge at all.

  9. Yellow is one of those colours I don't have too much variation in my stash too. These look really cute and yes small stuff takes longer for me too.
